Biography | Ira Katsouda
Hera Katsouda is a professional stand-up comedian who regularly performs on stages in Athens, throughout Greece, and abroad. In 2017, she presented her first solo show, “Gluten-Free”; in 2019, she followed it up with “For a Woman, It’s Good, ” and in 2022, she released “MINIMAL,” which completed a full two-season run in Athens, with successful tours throughout Greece and two stops in Europe.
In 2024, she will present her new show, titled “Beautiful Thoughts,” which combines comedy, social commentary, and a very personal perspective on the world.
She has hosted the Opening Ceremony of the 20th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, EBGE award ceremonies, TEDx events, and many other events. She has co-hosted the show “To Diktio” (ERT2) and is the host of the documentary series “45 Masters, 60 Apprentices” on ERT.
He is a member of the writing team for Press Project’s satirical show “ANASKOPISI, ” creator of the podcast “BRAIT SAINT,” which combines humor and disability, as well as “MINIMAL – The Podcast Game Show, ” the first audio game show featuring guests and not-so-generous prizes.
He co-organizes the Thessaloniki Comedy Festival and has written the play *The Wedding*. He has also worked for many years in advertising as a copywriter. He studied economics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and has also been involved in classical music, dance, and acting.
