This year, the Terrace of the Lambeti Theater will host a concert dedicated to the songs of our beloved Lavrentis Machairitsas. His beloved collaborators and friends—Dionysis Tsaknis, Kitrina Podilata, Mirela Pachou, and Steve Tesser will treat us to an unforgettable evening on Friday, July 17, 2026.
Laurence Macheritsas was one of the most important Greek artists, who left an indelible mark on the Greek music scene. He laid the foundations for Greek rock with the band Termites, was one of the leading figures of the 1990s generation of singer-songwriters, was loved by the public as few artists have been, and his songs have never stopped being heard and played.
The songs “Didymoteicho Blues,” “How Much I Want You,” “And What Do I Ask For,” “Down There in the South,” “A Turk in Paris,” “Pocket Monsters,” “Come, My Soul,” and “Little Titanic,” along with many others, are now considered classics of their genre.
On Friday, July 17, we’ll all be there to sing the hits of our favorite singer-songwriter, for a unique evening that will be talked about for a long time to come.
