Stages Network – Athenian Theaters presents Eduardo de Filippo’s comedy “He Who Saves Himself Is Saved,” directed by Tamilla Koulieva and featuring a large cast of leading actors. It is a tender situational comedy brimming with verve that highlights the warmth and humor of traveling theater troupes—the so-called “boukoukies”—who form the roots of modern theater. Danae Pappa, who stars in the play in a surprising dual role, speaks to the Stages Network camera and to Nikos Thrasyvoulos. She expresses her enthusiasm for working with this group of colleagues, with whom she also collaborated on the successful Alpha TV series *Agios Eros*. She explains how different the theater environment is from that of television and describes her dual role in the play in detail.
