at the Lambeti Theater
“TheHairdryer for Murderers,” the brilliant comedy by Bruce Jordan & Marilyn Abrams, which premiered—for the first time in Greece—in the last century (1999!!!) and ran for 13 consecutive years until 2012, continues the tradition unabated!
So, starting Wednesday, October 12, the well-known hair salon is reopening (!) —with two new productions—for yet another year at the Lambeti Theater on Alexandras Avenue. The production is directed by Nikorestis Haniotakis, and the adaptation is by Theodoros Petropoulos.
Just like last year, this year’s show is fully “interactive” and gets everyone involved in the “game”! It engages extensively with the audience, exchanging comments, questions, doubts, and suspicions about the suspects.
The big question arises once again: Who, after all, is Amalia Tsalikoglou‘s killer?
The talented, cheerful hairdresser Tony (Ioannis Apergis), the wealthy Mrs. Hatzipatera (Konstantina Michael), the pink bubblegum-chewing assistant Sophie (Areti Paschali), or the eccentric Leonidas Petrovas (Zisis Roubos)?
Behold the great mystery!
It could be any one of them, because Police Officer Stavros Stavrakos (Dimitris Makalias) considers them all suspects! Including his brilliant (?) assistant, Panagos (Haris Chiotis)!
A brief recap of the plot: The story takes place at the “Studio Antony” hair salon somewhere in Athens. One day, the building’s owner, who lives upstairs, is found murdered, and suspicion falls on the salon’s employees and customers. The audience is invited to identify the murderer, resulting in a different ending every night!
