“For a Life”! The sold out comedy by Thanasis Papathanasiou and Michalis Reppas continues in the new 2024-2025 theater season, for the 2nd year , at the Piraeus Theater 131 , in Gazi!
The story:
This is a situational comedy set in Aigio in 1943.
A young woman and two young men share an incredible life adventure, and their in-laws and friends share in it with them.
Zoe (Danae Pappa) was married to Yannis (Yannis Tsimitselis) until he went missing on the Albanian front. So, after three years, she decides to marry Stratos (Yiannis Sintos), a young rural police officer. The two of them are madly in love.
Marika, her mother (Sara Ganoti), lives with Zoe in the home of Gerasimos (Alexandros Antonopoulos), her daughter’s father-in-law and the father of the late Yiannis, who—even though (according to Marika) is“sour and grumpy,” wants the young couple to continue living with him in his home.
The next-door neighbor, Garifallia Zarla, (Maria Filippou), who is married to a collaborator and has a daughter, Voula (Anastasia Tsilibiu), who is Zoe’s best friend.
Just when everyone is in a frenzy over the upcoming wedding, the former groom, Yiannis, shows up in the middle of the night! And that’s when the chaos begins.
What will Zoe do with Yiannis, who doesn’t know that Stratos exists? And Stratos, who doesn’t know that Yiannis has “come back to life” and returned? Does Zoe have to make a choice? And based on what criteria? Which of the two men is more of a “husband” to her?
Which life will she ultimately choose?
Zoe herself, or Zoe with the two men in her life?
