at the Olympia Theater
Monday, February 9, 2026
Konstantinos Beta, one of the most important figures in the Greek electronic music scene, “engages in a dialogue” with the poetic work of Yannis Ritsos in the performance “The World Is One,” which will be presented for one night only on Monday, February 9, at the historic Olympia “Maria Callas” Theater, offering an electronic musical journey into the poet’s inner universe.
The performance is a large-scale live installation featuring original music by Konstantinos Beta, which uniquely captures the journey through the poetry of Yannis Ritsos, offering a rare musical and auditory experience. The poems are recited by Konstantinos Veta and Olia Lazaridou.
The performance features a cycle of twenty poems spanning the entire spectrum of the great poet’s work, presented within an atmospheric vortex of ambient soundscapes, piano, and processed voices that emerge from the pages of his poems. The sound of the poems, integrated into Konstantinos Beta’s sound system, creates new references and fresh interpretations of his work.
The play *The World Is One* will teach the “young” what poetry means and will bring back many memories for the “old”—a performance that no one should miss.
