at the Eve Theater

The Athenian Theaters are ringing in Christmas with carols performed by the Nea Ionia Estudiantina at the Eve Theater on the weekend of December 21 and 22!

In the vast and beautiful garden of Greek tradition, with its diverse musical genres and multifaceted themes, the Christmas carols of our homeland hold a special place. These carols are part of Greek tradition; they serve as a form of collective memory and are passed down from generation to generation, preserving the folkloric character of our land from north to south and from west to east.

From Crete to Orestiada and from Corfu to Chios, Estudantina—this wonderful orchestra—will tell us the most beautiful stories hidden in the Christmas carols of our homeland.

A musical journey through every corner of Greece, featuring the sounds of traditional instruments played by Estudiantina, will alternate with legends and stories told by the Lady of Christmas.

Singers and the children’s choir of the Piraeus Municipal Conservatory will sing to us about the traditions and customs of Greece’s wonderful cities and villages, through the carols of the Twelve Days of Christmas.
