A few words about the project and its history
Athens, 1958.
A crazy heist. A huge diamond. Six completely incompetent thieves. A cashier who’s been a perpetual apprentice. A desperate security guard who sleeps—literally—on his feet.
The signs aren’t exactly the best!
Two convicts escape from the Drapetsona prison and plan to steal a diamond of immeasurable value kept at Alexandras Bank, a regional Greek bank on Alexandras Avenue!
But when others get involved in the scheme, things take an unexpected turn and everything goes wrong.
Will fugitive Makis Retzos and his gang pull off the heist of the year?
On a night of spectacular madness, you can expect anything…
Could the “heist of the year” end up being the “heist… of disaster”?
Sixteen years ago, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields founded the “Mischief Theatre” troupe in London and took contemporary comedy to new heights! Their plays, based on the premise that “everything goes wrong,” became huge hits worldwide, leaving audiences in stitches. From their first play, *The Play That Goes Wrong*, to *The Magic That Goes Wrong* and *The Comedy About a Bank Robbery*, their performances are distinguished by their imagination, humor, plot twists, and the inventive improvisations the actors are called upon to perform on stage.
