Giota Nega talks about her role in the musical theater production \u201cMARIKA, They Told Me \u2013 MARIKA, They Took Me Out<\/strong>, \u201d<\/strong> which is being presented at the Embassy Theater, where she brings the character of Marika Papagika to life on stage.<\/p>

The interview highlights the unique nature of the play, which does not follow a strictly biographical narrative but combines elements of real life with fiction. The two Marikes, Papagika and Nino, meet on stage to tell the story of the female singer, the artist who stood tall on stage and asserted her voice and presence during difficult times. <\/p>

Giota Nega discusses how Giorgos Andreou\u2019s music \u2014both through original compositions and iconic songs\u2014functions dramaturgically, complementing and completing the narrative. At the same time, the play by Odysseas Ioannou is brought to life, along with the staging that brings together three female characters, creating a performance where memory, song, and the continuity of generations coexist. <\/p>

The show is being presented in a new version in Athens, following its successful run in Northern Greece, focusing on a more condensed, essential form, with an emphasis on the power of words, music, and the female presence on stage.<\/p>
