\n Starting October 14, at the Emporikon Theater, a much-loved family is testing its limits.<\/p>
\n The huge French hit \u201cChers parents\u201d by Armelle and Emmanuel Patron, which drew more than half a million viewers in France and was nominated for the Moli\u00e8re Awards, is being presented for the first time in Greece, directed by Prometheus Aleiferopoulos and adapted by Theodoros Petropoulos.<\/p>
\n A few words about the project<\/strong><\/p>
\n A beloved couple of retired professors urgently summons their three adult children to their country home. Fearing the worst, the siblings immediately leave behind their families, jobs, studies, laundry, and pets, and arrive ready to hear anything. Some very bad news, a terminal illness, an impending disaster. <\/p>
\n But they aren’t ready for what they’re about to hear.<\/p>
\n The parents tell their surprised children that they\u2019re in great health, but that the time has finally come to make their big dream a reality. The relief is fleeting, the questions are many, the issues are delicate, and within a short time, discretion goes out the window and tensions rise dangerously. <\/p>
\n Should parents share everything with their children? To what extent should they support them? Where does parenting end and cruelty begin? How much should we sacrifice our personal dreams for the sake of family or ideology? <\/p>
\n The Polytechnic clashes with the dream of golf, philanthropy reaches all the way to Africa, environmentalism weighs heavily on Asia, and Montessori meets Stalin! Family values soon begin to crumble like the Twin Towers\u2014or perhaps like the Berlin Wall? <\/p>
