{"id":45984,"date":"2025-09-25T14:58:09","date_gmt":"2025-09-25T11:58:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/a-th.gr\/portfolio\/my-name-is-sotiria-3\/"},"modified":"2026-06-17T17:13:49","modified_gmt":"2026-06-17T14:13:49","slug":"my-name-is-sotiria-3","status":"publish","type":"cpt_portfolio","link":"https:\/\/a-th.gr\/en\/portfolio\/my-name-is-sotiria-3\/","title":{"rendered":"My name is Sotiria"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">at the Avlaia Theater<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the show\u2019s great success in Athens and the rave reviews it received during its run there, <strong>Sophia Adamidou\u2019s<\/strong> play \u2014a narrative woven from moments and memories from the life of <strong>Sotiria Bellou<\/strong>, the great female icon of folk and rebetiko music\u2014will be staged at <strong>the Avlaia Theater<\/strong>, <strong>in Thessaloniki<\/strong>, starting Wednesday, April 26, for 10 performances only.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Giorgos Papageorgiou<\/strong> is responsible for the direction, adaptation, and dramaturgical development. <strong>Katia<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>Goulioni<\/strong> <strong>plays the role of Sotiria Bellou<\/strong>. <strong>Live music on stage<\/strong> by <strong>Antonis and Theodoros Xintaris<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The performance is dedicated to the memory of Sofia Adamidou and Dina Konsta.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The project:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s evening. Sotiria is in the hospital, just before the surgery that will take away her voice. Her life will flash before her eyes like a movie. The people closest to her\u2014her family, her husband, her passions. People she loved and who loved her, and others who hurt her or supported her when she was just starting out. Sofia Vembo, who, without realizing it, introduced her to singing; Vasilis Tsitsanis, who paved the way for her; and Papaioannou, whom she loved deeply.
