\n\r\n The new play by Thanasis Papathanasiou and Michalis Repas, \u201cBe Careful Who You Kill!\u201d, a spirited murder mystery, full of intrigue, plot twists, and the elegant humor befitting the urban atmosphere of the 1950s, set on an island in the Saronic Gulf in the early 1950s and presented at the permanent home of the prolific writing duo, the Piraeus 131 Theater, during the 2025\u20132026 season.<\/p>

\n The 1950s. Summer. <\/p>
\n
\n Young Lena Drosinou (Danai Pappa) invites two couples she\u2019s friends with, as well as her uncle Mimi Damianos (Alexandros Antonopoulos) and his wife, Fofo (Fotini Demiri)\u2014a fan of police stories\u2014to her home on Poros, so they can all spend a few carefree days on vacation together.<\/p>
\n
\n The group of young friends consists of Lena\u2019s childhood friend, Tzini Lambropoulou (Danai Tagari), who has no idea how much money she has, and her husband, the lawyer Giorgos Gazis (Dimitris Goutzamanis), whom Lena constantly pesters, but who puts up with her for his wife\u2019s sake.<\/p>
\n
\n The other couple is Rika Vlastou (Anna Menenakou), also a close friend of the hostess, who has come with her boyfriend, Tommy Makrygiannis (Manolis Klonaris), a somewhat mysterious character with \u201cbad habits,\u201d who, although he\u2019s a bit boring\u2014as she herself says\u2014fulfills certain needs of hers.<\/p>
\n
\n A long time ago, Rika had a thing with Leonidas (Yiannis Sintos), Lena\u2019s current partner, who, although likable, is still a penniless businessman desperately in need of cash.<\/p>
\n
\n Also living in the house is Margarita (Maria Filippou), the housekeeper from Crete\u2014born and raised on the island, or so she claims. A loyal dog or a cat? <\/p>
\n
\n The common threads linking all the guests are the experience of war that lingers beneath the surface, some loves that have ended\u2014though perhaps not entirely, debts left over from the past, some improbable and probable betrayals, old scores that didn\u2019t make for friends, and a \u201cwell-hidden\u201d self.<\/p>
\n
\n But their vacation at Lena\u2019s villa is suddenly disrupted by a failed murder attempt and, shortly afterward, two dead bodies. The group\u2019s numbers dwindle sharply. Suspicions, police, theories, anxiety. <\/p>
\n
\n How can there be a murderer among them, since they’re all friends? Friends and relatives, no less. <\/p>
\n
\n Could the killer be someone watching them from a distance? A hired assassin? Perhaps a jilted lover seeking revenge? <\/p>
\n
\n Why should the nightmare of death resurface in a time of peace, when there is no longer any sign of war on the horizon?<\/p>
\n
\n And the killer just kills them one after another like that, without any excuse?<\/p>
\n
\n What is the truth behind the relationships between George, Lena, Ginny, Tommy, Leonidas, and Rika? And what about the couple\u2014the uncles? <\/p>
