Twenty years after its premiere, Theodoros Atheridis\u2019s comedy \u201cA Bee in August\u201d will be performed at the Lambeti Summer Theater starting July 4! The production is directed by Nikorestis Haniotakis, who is working with a cast of wonderful actors who will bring a breath of fresh air to summer evenings right in the heart of the city! <\/p>\n\n

The comedy \u201cA Bee in August,\u201d after an extremely successful run both on stage (2004\u20132005) and on the big screen (2007), transports us to a vast and secluded beach. A shore you can only reach by boat! That\u2019s where Haris arrives with his wife Vasoula, his German half-sister Hildegard, and his mistress Maria, who pretends to be deaf! <\/p>\n\n
And just as everything is going smoothly, a bee stings Haris, who\u2019s allergic! He suddenly swells up a lot\u2014dramatically so\u2014and appears in a completely different form! That was it\u2026 Haris is faced with his worst nightmare: his other self, which he had kept hidden for years. The group will go through some tough times and be put to the test off the grid, without water, without shade\u2026 Haris\u2019s \u201cfrightened\u201d alter ego will stir up his friends\u2019 emotions, reveal secrets, lies, and truths, and upset the fragile balance on the beach\u2026 <\/p>\n\n
