It was a major box-office hit in 2012, starring Daniel Radcliffe. <br\/>The eerie atmosphere, the screams, the muffled sounds, the fog, and the shadowy corners spark the imagination\u2026<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A few words about the project<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Susan Hill\u2019s book *The Woman in Black* was published in 1983 in the United Kingdom. In 1989, Stephen Mallatratt\u2019s stage adaptation premiered in London\u2019s West End, where it continues to run today at the Fortune Theatre. In Greece, we saw it in 1992\u201393, directed by Alekos Alexandrakis and Danis Katranidis at the Ilisia Theater. In 2007\u201308, Danis Katranidis staged it again with Giorgos Kentros at the Meli Theater. In 2017\u20132018, it was staged at the Katia Dandoulaki Theater with Nikos Kouris and Konstantinos Aspiotis, again directed by Nikorestis Haniotakis.     <br\/>The scenes depicting the train journey, the carriage rides, and the slide through the marsh are among the most distinctive in the work.<br\/>Through the narrative, an atmosphere of danger and fear is created, which artfully permeates the dark rooms of the isolated mansion and spills out into the equally menacing outdoor spaces\u2014and vice versa. The ending is unexpected, and the narrative proves capable of even bringing to life the woman in black, who \u201cinfects\u201d even the actor himself with her curse\u2026 <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Case<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Notary Arthur Kipps travels from Victorian London to a secluded country estate to settle an inheritance matter.
